Don’t look at the trombones frog. You’ll only encourage them it.

Remember those beeyootyful sunshiney photos I posted from along the banks of the Red Cedar River just yesterday? Well, as you can see, if you don’t like the weather in the Great Lake State, just wait five minutes or so. I walked five miles in this crapola this morning. Fortunately, the walking wasn’t (usually) very slippery because it wasn’t very cold (upper 20s) and there was no ice underneath the crapola. That was good because I made the executive decision not to pack my boots and YakTrax this weekend.

Here is our final setup. Those are my dad’s snowshoes on the right. Don’t look at the trombones frog.

This cutie was our puzzle finisher for the year. She is a puzzle whiz and also reminded me a bit of C*Q*L. I don’t normally post pics of strangers, especially kids, on the internet but I doubt she or her family know anything about this boring bunch of blather so I took the chance. If they do happen to see it, you know I will be happy to take it down.

And we were powterized! Also visited by some mooninbeach McNott neighbors (no pic). So much fun!

Where there are trombones frogs there is usually trouble. I had a spool of thread in my backpack that tried to kill me about 100 times today. FINALLY, after we had packed up our QWS booth and gotten settled in for dinner at a restaurant, I took EVERYTHING OUT OF MY BACKPACK (including the dern frog), sorted the whole darn mess out, and repacked it.

I am taaaarrrred. Warmer temps tomorrow and hopefully some sunshine and a somewhat slow and meandering drive home. One with a small mission. G’night.

Small mission? What? It looks like a great time. I wish I were better at puzzles. The rest of the family is, just not moi.

Enjoyed the informational presentations and displays at QWS. We especially enjoyed the presentation supervised by the trombones frog.
