He got the *motorboat* going today. It took hours. I went to town this morning. I had to make a grokkery / booze run and do one load of laundry. I did the laundry at The Commander’s house. I put everything into the washer and hit up the gas station, Glen’s (grokkeries / booze), and the recycling center. I threw everything into the dryer and set it for 40 minutes and then I broke my own rule about never leaving a dryer running when I’m not in the house and took a 2.5-mile hike around the “block”.

When I got back out to the moominbeach, no one was here. I put the laundry and grokkeries away and futzed around with some little projects that I hadn’t quite gotten around to yet and then I looked out the front picture window to see the GG driving the Motorboat back toward shore. The GG headed out to the Lyme Lounge to take a nap and I headed to the beach to take a kayak ride and then sit and get sunburned.

Apparently his efforts to get the Motorboat started provided great entertainment for various people on the beach because more than one person stopped by to tell me about it. Which absolutely cracked me up. After various false starts, we eventually got the dern motorboat going enough that we drove it over to the Porter’s cabin and back.
